This is a formal assessment of the lower limbs including but not limited to walking and running where indicated. Measurements are taken of the lower extremity joints. Includes passive and active assessments of the foot and ankle joints. (*If the knee, hip or low back are implicated these are also assessed). Casting includes a plaster of paris cast whereby we place your foot in a mechanically advantageous position which assists to offload your ankle and foot joints for each and every future step you take with emphasis to offload over worked/symptomatic bony or soft tissues. It is also applicable to diabetic and neuropathic foot types.
